Todd Hibbs, assistant professor of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sport (HPERS), and Head Wrestling Coach has worked at Olivet College since 2004.

He teaches introduction to leisure services and administration, stress management, sports philosophy and ethics, and leads a backpacking trip through the Grand Canyon or Colorado Rockies each spring during the Intensive Learning Term. Hibbs is also Olivet’s head wrestling coach.

Hibbs began his career at Olivet as the head cross country coach and head wrestling coach. In 2006, Hibbs received the Midwest Regional Coach of the Year award and was a finalist for the national coach of the year.

Hibbs earned a bachelor’s degree from Mount Union College in 1989, where he was a two-time wrestling All-American and two-time scholar All-American. He earned a master’s degree in sports psychology from Michigan State University. 

He resides in Battle Creek with wife, Karen Kane, and daughter, Kayla Juliet.
