OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College sophomore Justin Ardelean of Owosso and junior Lauren Campbell of Fenton share the Comet of the Week honors for Sept. 13.

Both earned medalist honors and helped their team finish in first-place at the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association jamboree of the 2010 season.

Ardelean carded a two-under-par 69 at the Bedford Valley Country Club Sept. 9. Campbell was the only golfer to shoot in the 70s with a 76 at the Pine River Country Club Sept. 11.

The women's golf team travels to Grand Rapids tomorrow to play in the second league jamboree at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Course. The men will make the short drive down I-69 for its second jamboree Wednesday at The Medalist Golf Club. Both outings have a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Olivet's sports information office will select a Comet of the Week throughout the remainder of the 2010-11 academic year. The athlete will be featured on the home page of the athletics Web site at www.olivetcollege.edu/athletics.
