OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College junior softball player Brooke Coshow, of Niles, has been named the Comet of the Week honors for March 14.

Coshow helped the Comets post a 9-3 record March 4-11 at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Fla. She finished the trip with a .429 batting average to go along with a team-high 14 runs scored, 15 hits, 3 home runs, 13 RBI and .800 slugging percentage.

Olivet is scheduled to open its home schedule Thursday, March 17, against Grand Valley State University. First pitch for game one of the doubleheader is 3 p.m.

Olivet's sports information office will select a Comet of the Week throughout the remainder of the 2010-11 academic year. The athlete will be featured on the home page of the athletics Web site at www.olivetcollege.edu/athletics.
