Gary Morrison is in his 34th season as the head men’s golf coach at Olivet. After third-place Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) finishes in 2004 and 2005, the Comets climbed one spot to place second in 2006. Morrison led his team to a 16th league title in 2002, which makes him the winningest golf coach in MIAA history and Olivet one of the most respected NCAA Division III men’s golf programs.

With 16 golf titles, three basketball and one baseball title, Morrison is the winningest coach in Olivet’s history. He was inducted into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994.

Morrison graduated from Kalamazoo College in 1957, where he was an All-MIAA performer in three sports. He earned a master’s degree from Western Michigan University in 1965.

Morrison resides in Olivet with wife, Judy, a 1970 graduate of Olivet. They have four children: Scott ’82, Randy ’85, Gary ex’87 and Heather ’93, as well as 11 grandchildren.

Kevin Allard
Assistant Coach

Kevin Allard is in his fourth season as the assistant men’s golf coach at Olivet. He serves as the junior varsity coach.

Allard is employed with Fremont Insurance Company as a claims representative. He graduated from Olivet in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and concentration in insurance.

Allard resides in Marshall with wife, Cathy, and 18-year-old daughter, Kalynne.
