Bill Boyle begins his third season as the head coach of Olivet’s men’s soccer program.

Boyle came to Olivet after spending four years as an assistant boys’ soccer coach at Okemos High School (OHS). He helped the Chieftains win the 2004 Michigan High School Athletic Association Division I Boys’ Soccer title. He has also served as a coach for various premier soccer teams in Michigan and Colorado.

In addition, Boyle has earned an advanced national license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Boyle, a 1998 graduate of Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., was a four-year starter in soccer for the Hawks (1994-97). He has also played semi-professionally for the Detroit Dynamite and Cincinnati (Ohio) Riverhawks.

Boyle graduated from OHS where he was a four-year letterwinner on the soccer team. During his senior season, he scored 32 goals and was named the Mr. Michigan runner-up.

Boyle lives in Lansing with wife, Adrienne.

Eric DeLonge
Assistant Coach

 

Eric DeLonge is in second season as an assistant men’s soccer coach.

Prior to coming to Olivet, DeLonge was the head boys’ soccer coach at Williamston High School for three years. He was also the founder and head coach of the Michigan State University (MSU) club soccer team from 2001-02.

A native of Traverse City, DeLonge was an All-State selection in high school. He has playing experience with the Traverse City Arsenal, Team Omega, TKO and Michigan Wolves. DeLonge also played for the East Anglia Boys Club in London, England.

DeLonge earned a bachelor’s degree from MSU in 2000 and a master’s degree from MSU in 2005.
