Bill Maas is in his sixth season as Olivet’s head women’s golf coach. He also serves the athletic department as the NCAA compliance coordinator and academic counselor.

Maas has steadily built Olivet into the top women’s golf program in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Last year, the Comets captured their second straight MIAA championship and berth to the NCAA Division III National Championships. In 2008, Olivet was 11th at the national championships. In 2007, the Comets placed ninth at nationals and were only one stroke behind the eighth-place finisher. The team’s rise to the top spot in the MIAA came after runner-up finishes in 2004 and 2005.

Maas is a 1989 graduate of Olivet. He resides in Olivet with wife, Amy. He is the assistant fire chief for the city of Olivet.
