Olivet College is seeking candidates for the position of Risk Management and Insurance Recruiting Specialist.
FUNCTION: This is a 12-month position with regular overtime as required. Responsibilities include developing and facilitating recruiting programs for prospective risk management, insurance, and financial planning students from Michigan and throughout the Midwest. As this position will be located within the Office of Admissions, the candidate will be expected to assist with Admissions department initiatives and participate in prospective student events as requested by the Director of Admissions. Must be self disciplined, highly motivated, assertive, goal oriented, well organized, comfortable using computerized information management systems and adept at telemarketing. The applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills and effective telephone and presentation skills. This position will be expected to create and maintain relationships with multiple constituencies. It would be helpful to have existing insurance industry relationships. This position requires travel (extensively in the fall) and some evening and weekend work. This job description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree with two year’s experience in insurance, sales, college admissions, marketing, public relations or related activities.
Preferred: Knowledge and familiarity with the Olivet College Risk Management Insurance Center and the Alpha Alpha Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma.
