Olivet College is seeking candidates for the position of College Safety Officer
FUNCTION: The College Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of persons and property on the Olivet College Campus. Responsibilities include: assisting with emergency situations, patrolling campus buildings and grounds, preventing and handling critical incidents, such as, theft, vandalism, fire or fire hazards, disorderly conduct, college traffic violations and other regulatory violations.
REQUIREMENTS: High school education plus 1-2 years of security or law enforcement training or experience required. Knowledge in first aid techniques highly desirable. Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals, in some instances under stressful, dangerous and/or emergency conditions. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following Olivet College policies and procedures.
SCHEDULE: Nights and Weekends
