Dear Prospective Student:
Welcome to the e-version of Olivet College. On our Web site, you'll find information about all of the college's outstanding academic and co-curricular programs, as well as the different types of resources available for our students. While I hope you enjoy what you discover on our site, nothing replaces a personal visit to our wonderful campus, where you'll find some of the friendliest and most helpful people.

Olivet is one of the few colleges in the nation where character and competence count. At Olivet, we encourage opportunity, diversity and responsibility. Our academic vision, Education for Individual and Social Responsibility, is directly related to The Olivet Plan. This unique educational system encourages students to learn from their full range of experiences, in- and outside of the classroom. At Olivet, responsibility really does matter. That's why we developed the Olivet College Compact, which is a guide to responsible behavior used by the entire campus community.

If you are a student who is interested in a major ranging from education to insurance and risk management or the arts and sciences, all in an intimate setting with personalized attention, Olivet may be the place for you. We reward academic achievement, community service and responsibility with strong financial aid packages for all students who qualify.

Olivet College will provide you with the necessary experiences to help prepare you for your career of choice. Olivet's faculty and staff are dedicated to helping you become successful in the real world. In fact, professors and professionals teach all of our courses and the college's full-time faculty members are on campus at least five days a week to assist with your educational goals.

Research shows that small, independent colleges such as Olivet prepare students for challenging careers by providing them with a wide range of skills and orientations not found at larger universities. So I encourage you to visit our campus and find out for yourself.

Good luck!
