Olivet College and community partnering for annual "Night on the Town"
Aug 20, 2012
Olivet College students will have the opportunity to learn more about the services and products offered in the city of Olivet during the annual “Night on the Town,” Monday, Aug. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Olivet. The event, which is open to the public, is co-sponsored by Olivet College and the Olivet Community Chamber of Commerce. Chartwells, the college’s food service provider, will serve a picnic-style dinner downtown. The cost for the dinner is $6.25 for adults, $4 for children 4- to 12-years-old and free for children 3 and under. Olivet students eat for free when they show their college IDs. The event will also feature games and activities, as well as coupons and prizes from local businesses. The college’s annual “Stand-Up” event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the College Square. A longstanding Olivet College tradition, Stand-Up allows for students and employees to get acquainted with one another. Activities for the evening include inflatables, games, build your own stuffed animal, picture key chains, craft tables and live music from Global Village. Chartwells will also serve a meal for the same price at this event. “Night on the Town” and “Stand-Up” are being held in conjunction with the college’s Welcome Week. The 2012 fall semester begins Tuesday, Aug. 28. « Back
