Sep 05, 2012
The Career Services Network at Olivet College is now a member of Out for Work (OFW). OFW functions as a complimentary component in the total educational experience of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, primarily in the development, evaluation, initiation and implementation of career plans and opportunities. OFW’s programs, resources and services provide assistance to students in the cultivation and enhancement of skills to explore career options, master search techniques and strategies and research employment opportunities. Certified as a bronze level Career Center member, Olivet College is equipped with information, resources and programs to assist students with their career pursuits. A number of printed and online career service resources are available, as well as training opportunities, workshops and presentations, and assistance in attending the annual Out for Work conference, being held this September in Chicago. “We serve a diverse student body at Olivet College, and this is just one more way we can better equip students with the skills they will need to discover and build their careers,” said Joanne Williams, Career Services Network director. The Career Services Network is located in the Gruen and Speare Student Resource Center, room 209 in the Mott Academic Center. Services are available to students and alumni of the college, as well as employers seeking potential applicants. « Back
