Olivet, Mich. Olivet College alumna Marty Mason Jennings has been named director of alumni relations at the college, according to an announcement by Alan Nagy, vice president for institutional advancement. She replaces Karla Kunkle, who has assumed the role of Olivets director of annual fund and donor relations.
Jennings, who earned a bachelors degree in fine arts from Olivet in 1967, began her duties on Nov. 1. Prior to coming to Olivet, she worked for 14 years as a tour manager/group sales coordinator for AAA in western Pennsylvania. Her background also includes serving seven years as a merchandising coordinator for Vanity Fair.
I have always had a fondness for Olivet, said Jennings, who served as secretary of her senior class. I truly love this place. My goal is to inform the alumni about our mission of Education for Individual and Social Responsibility and the positive direction that Olivet is taking. Social events on campus, as well as in major areas around the country, plus touring with the alumni, are high on my list of priorities. I also want to be instrumental in reuniting classmates and faculty members.
A native of Akron, Penn., Jennings family includes sons Mason and Matthew. She resides in Marshall.
