Olivet College's Lester K. Kirk Center is getting new look
Jun 05, 2013

The college is working to enhance the dining experience on campus by renovating the Lester K. Kirk Center throughout the summer. The entire first floor of the Kirk Center, including the cafeteria, will be updated to accommodate the college’s growing student population. When completed, the seating capacity will be increased by 200. Chartwells and Design Smart architecture have been working together to design the new plans with suggestions from the Olivet College Board of Trustees’ Building and Grounds Committee, as well as student feedback.

The new plan will provide a variety of seating from booths, lounge chairs, bar stools, and traditional table and chairs, along with two community tables that will sit 12 to 16 people. The plan also includes a new color scheme and two new private dining areas. Along with the renovations, the Kirk Center will feature new late night hours to better accommodate students.
