OLIVET, Mich. Janet Tsang, Olivet Colleges head athletic trainer, will give a presentation on nutritional supplements as part of the colleges Lecture and Symposium Series on Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Upton Center. The presentation, titled Understanding Nutritional Supplements, is free and open to the public.

Health and safety issues surrounding nutritional supplementation such as product claims, side effects, labeling accuracy and legislation will be discussed. Audience members will also be informed on available resources to assist in deciphering nutritional supplement facts from fiction.

Representatives from the Office of Community Life will wrap-up the symposium by discussing the colleges new drug and alcohol policy.
