Pyne named to Olivet College Board of Trustees

OLIVET, Mich.George Pyne III, of Milford, Mass., has been named to Olivet Colleges Board of Trustees, according to an announcement by board chair David Hayhow. Pyne, a 1965 graduate of Olivet College, will serve a four-year term.

Pyne served as the 2003 Olivet College Homecoming Grand Marshal on Oct. 18.

Following a one-year stint with the Boston Patriots, Pyne worked for 20 years with the Mass Mutual Insurance Company before venturing into the land acquisition and development business in the Massachusetts area. He also buys, sells and rents heavy construction equipment.

Pyne and his wife, Roseleen, have four children, George IV, Tara, David and Jim. The Pynes are the only family with three generations father to son to son to have played professional football in the history of the NFL.

The Olivet College Board of Trustees pursues policies and programs in accord with the colleges vision of an Education for Individual and Social Responsibility. The 29-member board strives to provide the best possible environment for students, faculty and staff to teach, learn and develop their abilities.
