Service awards presented to Olivet College faculty and staff

OLIVET, Mich.Olivet College President Donald Tuski, Ph.D., recently honored 22 employees with service awards.

Gary Morrison, head mens golf coach and adjunct professor emeritus, was honored for 36 years of service.

Joel Epstein, adjunct professor emeritus of history; Jare Klein, head wrestling coach emeritus; and Donald Rowe, professor of art were honored for 35 years of service. Ronald Thatcher, director of financial aid, was recognized for 20 years of service.

Employees honored for 15 years of service include Mary Jo Blackport, library director and associate professor of library science; Norma Curtis, vice president for academic affairs; and Shirley Hirt, administrative assistant for academic affairs; and Laura Maas, assistant professor of English.

Those honored for 10 years of service include Ronald Bell, HVAC mechanic; Ute Chase, campus services office coordinator; Larry Colvin, vice president for administration; and Karen Harris, financial aid office manager and counselor.

Employees honored for five years of service include Rebecca Frazier, administrative assistant to the athletic director; Pamela Gleave, certification officer; Saleef Kafajouffe, vice president for diversity and dean of the college; Karla Kunkle, director of annual giving and donor relations; Dominic Livedoti, mens athletic recruiter and assistant head football coach; Barbara Spencer, executive assistant to the president; David Thompson, assistant professor of mathematics; Joanne Williams, instructor of journalism and theatre; and Kathi Wireman, Shipherd Hall head housekeeper.
