Olivet choirs will present an afternoon of opera and musical theatre Feb. 15

OLIVET, Mich. Olivet Colleges choir and womens chorale will give a concert on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. in the Olivet Congregational Church. The event is free and open to the public.

The choirs will present selections from Johann Strausss Die Fledermaus, Offenbachs Tales of Hoffman, Gilbert and Sullivans HMS Pinafore, Man of LaMancha, Jekyll and Hyde, and Seasons of Love from Rent.

Under the direction of Timothy Flynn, director of Olivets music program, and accompanied by Ramona Kime Graessle, adjunct associate professor of music, the recital will feature several soloists, including Dustin Beck, a senior from White Lake; Angela Boardman, a senior from DeWitt; Marie Gouba, a sophomore from Novi; John Lang, a senior from Bancroft; and Margaret Todd, a sophomore from Bangor. Soprano Courtney Gilson-Piercy, adjunct instructor of music, will also be featured as a soloist.
