Music program to host guest piano recital Feb. 24

OLIVET, Mich. The Olivet College music program will host a guest piano recital on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Upton Conservatory of Music Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Yoo-Jung Kim, music faculty member at Lansing Community College and piano instructor at Jackson Symphony Community Music School, will perform works by Chopin, Debussy, Granados and Mozart. Kim has performed in numerous concerts including the 46th Korean Independence Day Celebration Concert at Michigan State Universitys (MSU) Wharton Center, the London Music Festival, the Greater Lansing Symphony Orchestra and the Oregon Bach Festival. Kim received the Distinguished Performer scholarship during her four years at Kyung-Won University in Korea, where she earned a bachelors degree in music with high honors.
