Olivet, Mich. Jackie Bounds has been named college relations specialist at Olivet College, according to an announcement by Jerry Rashid, assistant vice president for college relations.

She is responsible for preparing press releases, writing feature articles for the colleges alumni magazine and assisting with the writing, editing and design of a variety of communications material.

Bounds previously worked as the promotions director for the Michigan Beef Industry Commission in Okemos, where she coordinated retail and food service programs throughout the state. Her background also includes working as coordinator and editor of The Michigan Cattleman magazine.

A native of Fulton, Bounds earned her bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University in 2001.
