Heator named planned giving officer at Olivet College

Olivet, Mich. Olivet College alumnus Edward Heator has been named a planned giving officer, according to an announcement by Alan Nagy, vice president for institutional advancement.

Heator will serve as a philanthropic planning advisor to donors, prospects and their counselors to produce planned gifts for the college. He will also work with development personnel to create stronger ties with college priorities to develop opportunities for giving.

Heator, who earned a bachelors degree in marketing and business from Olivet in 1980, began his duties on Aug. 2. Prior to coming to Olivet, he worked for 21 years an insurance agent and then owner of Heator Insurance Agency in Union City.

He and his wife Cindy, a 1979 Olivet graduate, along with their two daughters, Shelby and Mackenzie, reside in Union City.
