Olivet College's "Night on the Town" rescheduled for Aug. 30
Aug 26, 2004

OLIVET, Mich. Olivet Colleges second annual Night on the Town has been rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 30. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about the services and products offered in the city from 5 p.m. to dusk in downtown Olivet. The event originally scheduled for Aug. 23, was canceled due to inclement weather.

Night on the Town is open to the public and sponsored by Olivet College and the Olivet Community Chamber of Commerce. Sodexho, the colleges food service provider, will serve a picnic-style dinner downtown to students and community members. Cost for the dinner is $5 for community members and is free for students who use their college IDs.

More than 30 businesses are expected to participate with coupon giveaways, free samples and prize drawings. The event will feature live music and fireworks that are slated to begin at dusk.

For more information, contact Lori Whitaker, director of student activities, at (269) 749-7172 or Becky Ramage, chamber president, at (269) 749-2311.
