Olivet College to present faculty recital

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College music program is presenting a faculty recital in the Upton Conservatory of Music Recital Hall Sunday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. The recital will feature soprano Courtney Gilson-Piercey, an adjunct instructor of music at Olivet. The event is free and open to the public. Gilson-Piercey will perform songs from Bernstein, Liszt, Mozart, Strauss, Wolf and a selection of Broadway songs. Liudmilla Bondar, an adjunct professor of music at Lansing Community College (LCC), will accompany the performance on piano. Gilson-Piercey has performed opera and musical theatre with companies in New York and Boston. She received her bachelor’s in music performance at Crane School of Music in New York and masters in music performance at Boston University, where she was involved in the opera program.
