Service awards presented to Olivet College faculty and staff

OLIVET, Mich.Olivet College President Donald Tuski, Ph.D., recently honored 17 employees with service awards.

Dorothy Bigford, administrative assistant for faculty, was honored for 35 years of service.

John Homer, professor of economics and Lowell Walsworth, adjunct professor of interdisciplinary studies, were honored for 25 years of service.

Employees honored for 15 years of service include Ray Bigford, head housekeeper; Susan Houston, associate professor of business; and Barb Smith, maintenance tradesperson/painter.

Those honored for 10 years of service include Maria Davis, Natural and Physical Science Department chair and associate professor of biology; Tom Shaw, vice president for enrollment management; and Therese Wood, human resources specialist.

Employees honored for five years of service include Pam Frayer, development information specialist; Carlton Hardy, head baseball coach and assistant football coach; Kirk Hendershott-Kraetzer, assistant professor of humanities; Alan Nagy, vice president for institutional advancement; Myrna Pedelty, administrative assistant to the vice president and dean of student life; Martha Perkins, Humanities Department chair and assistant professor of humanities; Jerry Rashid, assistant vice president for college relations; and Charles Wilson, associate dean for academic affairs and assistant professor of education.
