Local artist’s work featured in display at Olivet College

OLIVET, Mich.The Olivet College visual arts program will present an exhibit featuring artwork by Pam Gleave, director of academic advising at the college. The exhibit will be held Thursday, Jan. 13 through Tuesday, Feb. 8 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the campuss Barker-Cawood Art Gallery and is free and open to the public. Gleaves work includes carbon dust, ceramic, gouache, oils, pastels, pencil, pen and ink, and photography and focuses on a wide-range of subject interests. Her work is in private collections in 18 states and Japan. She won first-place in the black and white division in her first national photography show and subsequent first places in other shows, including photograph of the year in Rodeo News magazine. She has created artwork for brochures, programs and T-shirts for Binder Park Zoo, and designed images for the local band of Potawatomi Indians. Gleave earned a bachelors in sociology and anthropology with a minor in art from Olivet College in 1999. « Back
