Olivet College to present Choral Kaleidoscope Feb. 20

OLIVET, Mich. The Olivet College Choir and Womens Chorale are presenting a concert titled, Choral Kaleidoscope, Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. in the Olivet Congregational Church. The event is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of music program director, Timothy Flynn, Ph.D., and accompanied by Ramona Kime Graessle, Ph.D., the womens chorale will perform selections from Franz Joseph Haydn, John Rutter and Ralph Vaughan Williams.

The choir will sing selections from Missa Brevis Sancta Johannis de Deo by Haydn, as well as compositions by Donna Gartman Schultz and Stephen Schwartz. The concert will also feature piano selections of the Brahms Liebeslieder Walzer played by Kime Graessle and Flynn. Student soloists are Courtney Buege of Lansing and Margaret Todd of Bangor. Marie Gouba of Novi and Dave Keeney of Lansing will perform an arrangement of a song written by Miguel Sandoval for marimba and voice, arranged by Anna Ruth Munk of Lansing.
