Olivet College to host wind ensemble concert April 14

OLIVET, Mich. The Olivet College wind ensemble will present a concert, Musick for Wind Band in the Oaks Theatre, Thursday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. The ensemble will perform selections from Percy Grainger, Gustav Holst, Hugh Stuart and Ralph Vaughn Williams. Under the direction of Jeananne Nichols, instrumental studies director, the wind ensemble features Bryan Borders, a sophomore from Battle Creek; Amanda Charbonneau, a senior from Pinconning; Barbara Despins, a junior from Battle Creek; Melanie Engels, a freshman from Battle Creek; Elizabeth Flanary, a junior from Howell; Nick Gillim, a sophomore from Battle Creek; Jesse Gyger, a senior from Charlotte; Ramone Horst, a freshman from Detroit; Dave Keeney, a senior from Lansing; Shane Koehler, a sophomore from Battle Creek; Shantell Mathis, a freshman from Detroit; Mike McKeever, a freshman from Holland; Michele Michalek, a junior from Stanton; Kayla Mohlman, a senior from Battle Creek; Denise Ritzer, a sophomore from Kalamazoo; Starr Roberts, a sophomore from Battle Creek; Michael Ryan, a freshman from Eastpoint; Scott Sands, a freshman from Marshall; Marylouise Stevens, a sophomore from Mason; Margaret Todd, a junior from Bangor, Jenny Vest, a sophomore from Battle Creek and Jason Wright, a senior from Marshall.
