Top five seniors recognized at Olivet College honors program

OLIVET, Mich. Olivet College recognized the best of its student body at the annual Honors Convocation Wednesday, April 6 in the colleges Mott Auditorium. The Donald A. Morris Awards are presented each year to the top five graduating seniors with the highest grade point averages. The 2004-05 recipients are Rosa Beck of Bellevue; Jodi Griffin of Charlotte; Justin Hemmer of Ludington; Fikile Mtshiya of Zimbabwe and Michelle Simmon of DeWitt. Beck is a science major and social studies minor with an elementary education certification. Griffin is a social studies major and language arts minor with an elementary education certification. Hemmer has a biochemistry and biology double major with a pre-med concentration. Mtshiya is an environmental science major with an analytical chemistry minor. Simmon is an insurance and risk management major with a general business administration minor. The awards were named after Donald A. Morris, who served as president of the college from 1977-92. « Back
