Sobczynski has been an insurance education instructor at Boston University, Lawrence Technological University, Olivet College, and as a guest lecturer at the Southwestern Missouri State University, Temple University, University of Georgia, University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He serves as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and to other firms as an independent risk management and insurance consultant. The Michigan Insurance Hall of Fame was established at Olivet College in 1994 as a way to pay tribute to individuals who have made a significant impact on the ability of the Michigan insurance and risk management industry to serve the public. An election panel, representing a cross-section of the insurance and risk management business, identifies leaders and/or innovators who have made significant contributions in five areas: education, exemplary service, legislative activity, product/service development and recruiting new participants. If you are interested in nominating someone into the Michigan Insurance Hall of Fame or need additional information, please contact Michael R. Hubbel, director of the Olivet College insurance and risk management program, at (269) 749-7626. « Back
