Following a comprehensive national search, Olivet College announced today the appointment of Dr. Gregory A. Gerard as its new vice president of institutional advancement.
Dr. Gerard comes to Olivet from La Sierra University in Riverside, California where he served the institution as its vice president for advancement and university relations. At Olivet College, he will oversee the colleges development and fundraising efforts, as well as communication and community relations activities.
The position being filled by Dr. Gerard is one of critical importance to the continuing success of Olivet College, says the schools president, Dr. F.J. Talley. Greg comes to us with a wealth of experience and a proven history of success. His philosophy, ideals and commitment to quality education are a perfect fit with the Olivet College vision of Education for Individual and Social Responsibility.
Dr. Gerard holds Educational Doctorate (84) and Masters in Educational Leadership (81) degrees from Western Michigan University. He also has received Masters in Religion (81) and a BA in history and religion (77) from Andrews University.
He will begin his duties at Olivet College on July 1, 2000.
