OLIVET, Mich. Olivet Colleges Career Services Network is hosting Larry Meyer, chairman and chief executive officer of the Michigan Retailers Association (MRA), Wednesday, March 22 at 11 a.m., in Dole Halls Klock Commons. Meyer will discuss training and financing opportunities for new entrepreneurs, offer advice about how to get into the retail business and share a few benefits of the MRA.

Meyer is also the chief executive officer for Retailers Mutual Insurance Company and on the board of directors for Michigan Retailers Services, Inc.

Headquartered in Lansing, MRA provides legislative representation and a wide range of profit-boosting services to more than 5,500 member retail businesses, which own and operate roughly 12,000 stores across the state. Members range in size from the smallest single-store operations to the largest national and international chains. Incorporated in 1940 to help retailers succeed in business, MRA has become the nations largest state trade association of general merchandise retailers.
