Olivet College to host a French Film Festival

OLIVET, Mich. Olivet College will host a French Film Festival April 2829 in Mott Auditorium. Sponsored by the Humanities Department, the festival is designed to expose students to the diversity of French culture. All of the films are in French with English subtitles. The cost is $1 per film for students with a current high school or college identification card and $2 per film for the general public. Admission for Olivet students, employees and alumni is free. Films showing Friday, April 28 include: LEsquive (Games of Love and Chance) at 7 p.m. and Le Placard (The Closet) at 9 p.m. Saturdays line-up includes: Viva Laljrie at 4:30 p.m., Hop at 7 p.m. and Grand Voyage at 9 p.m. The college received a Tournes Festival grant from the French American Cultural Exchange to host the event. The grant is supported by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, French Ministry of Culture, Florence Gould Foundation, Grand Marnier Foundation and Franco-American Cultural Fund.
