Olivet College student newspaper receives excellence award

OLIVET, Mich. The Olivet College Echo, a student-run campus newspaper, earned second-place honors in the Society of Professional Journalists Region Four Mark of Excellence Conference April 7-8 in Cincinnati. The Echo earned Best All-Around Non-Daily Student Newspaper. Eleni Mitropoulos, Echo editor and a sophomore from Bronson, accepted the honor with Joanne Williams, Echo advisor and assistant professor of journalism and theatre. More than 150 journalists and journalism students from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia attended the event.
