Olivet College announces second highest enrollment
Oct 17, 2006

OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet Colleges fall enrollment stands at 1,089 students, which is the second-most in school history. The record was set last year, when total enrollment reached 1,116 students. Olivets student-body has surpassed the 1,000-student plateau for four consecutive years.

This is a clear indication that Olivet College has much to offer to prospective students across the state of Michigan and country, said Larry Vallar, vice president for enrollment management. It also provides strong support that students have chosen Olivet because the institution is a great fit for them.

Olivet, which brought in 342 new students this fall, features one of the most diverse student populations of any small, private college in Michigan. The colleges minority student enrollment for the 2006 fall semester is 19 percent. The college also has 28 international students representing Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, Columbia, Jordan, Mexico, Moldova, Nepal, Nigeria, South Africa, Vietnam and Yugoslavia.
