Olivet College to hold auditions for “The Imaginary Invalid”
Nov 16, 2006

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College theatre program will hold auditions for its spring play, The Imaginary Invalid, Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 29 and 30 at 6 p.m. in the Margaret Upton Conservatory Recital Hall. No preparation is required. The auditions are open to Olivet students, faculty, staff and the general public. The cast requires eight men and four women.

The Imaginary Invalid by Moliere, is the story of the worlds worst hypochondriac. Argan is so convinced that hes sick, he demands that his daughter marry a doctor so he can receive free health care. This modern adaptation of the play pokes fun at modern medical excesses as well as current corporate and alternative practices.

The play will run Feb. 22-24 at the Oaks Theatre in downtown Olivet, and will be directed by Arthur Williams, Ph.D., director of theatre program, who also adapted the script.

For more information or to obtain a script, contact Williams at (269) 749-7246.
