Olivet College to host a French Film Festival

OLIVET, Mich. Olivet College will host a French Film Festival March 21-24 in Mott Auditorium. Sponsored by the Humanities Department, the festival is designed to expose students to the diversity of French culture.

The cost is $1 per film for students with a current high school or college identification card and $2 per film for the general public. Admission for Olivet students, employees and alumni is free.

The festival kicks off with The Intruder, showing Wednesday, March 21 at 7 p.m. while Thursdays line-up includes Look at Me at 7 p.m. On Friday, films include: Mondovino at 7 p.m. and Cach at 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aaltra will play at 7 p.m. with an encore screening of Mondovino at 9 p.m. All of the films are in French with English subtitles.

The college received a Tournes Festival grant from the French American Cultural Exchange to host the event. The grant is supported by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture.
