Jaysen Brandt, an Olivet College senior from Sterling Heights, was recently given an award from the Michigan State University Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS). This award is given to outstanding graduating students in chemical sciences at each of the colleges within the sections borders.

Olivet faculty members selected Brandt for this award because of his strong participation in the chemistry program at the college. He is majoring in chemistry and biology with a pre-medical concentration. He plans to go to nursing school after graduation and specialize in anesthesiology.
