The Olivet College music program will present its “Poetic Music” choral concert, Sunday, Oct. 14 at 3 p.m. in the Olivet Congregational Church. The concert is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Timothy Flynn, Ph.D., music program director and assistant professor of music, the chamber singers, college choir and men’s ensemble will perform musical settings of famous texts, including Shakespeare settings by Michael Larkin and Emma Lou Diemer, poetry of Carl Sandburg set by Jonathan Adams and poetry of Edgar Allan Poe set by Frank Ahrold. Ramona Kime, Ph.D., adjunct associate professor of music, will accompany the choirs.
