Olivet College to present "The Old Lady Shows Her Medals" and "Family Album"
Nov 06, 2007
The Olivet College music and theatre programs will present “The Old Lady Shows Her Medals” and “Family Album” Nov. 15, 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. in the Oaks Theatre in downtown Olivet. Both productions are free and open to the public. “The Old Lady Shows Her Medals” is based on a play by J.M. Barrie, who created Peter Pan, with music by Mark Bucci. The play takes place during World War I when a lonely old lady bows to pressure to support the war effort with comical, yet touching results. “Family Album,” by Sir Noel Coward, is a dark, funny account of family relationships where secrets are revealed, which are better left unknown. Both productions are directed by Timothy Flynn, Ph.D., Olivet’s music program director and assistant professor of music. « Back
