Olivet College is hosting an Employers’ Fair Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Upton Center. This event is open to the public and sponsored by the colleges Career Services Network and coordinated by Gamma Iota Sigma, Olivet’s insurance student organization.

The following organizations will be on hand to meet prospective employees: AIG, Accident Fund Insurance Company of America, Arch Insurance, Auto-Owners Insurance Company, CEI - Community Mental Health, City of Charlotte Police Department, City Year Detroit, Customs and Border Protection, Drug Enforcement Department of Justice, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Foremost Insurance Company, Gordon Food Service, Hastings Mutual Insurance Company, J.M. Wilson Corporation, MetLife, Michigan College Compact, Michigan Department of Corrections – Ingham County, Michigan Future Foundation, Michigan PIA, Modern Woodmen of America, National Interstate Insurance, New England Financial, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Oakland University, Prudential Financial, Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center, Starr Commonwealth, and State Farm Insurance Company. Additional employers are expected to attend.

The purpose of the Employers’ Fair is to introduce employers to the college’s diverse and talented students who represent a wide variety of academic disciplines. Past fairs have resulted in a large number of jobs and internships for students.
