Olivet College students accepted into the Michigan Small College Art Exhibition

Five Olivet College students have been accepted into the 13th annual Michigan Small College Art Exhibition, which will be held Sunday, Feb. 10 through Sunday, March 9 at the Ganton Art Gallery at Spring Arbor University. Awards will be presented at the opening reception of the art exhibit Sunday, Feb. 10 from 3 to 5 p.m. Olivet students who have been accepted include: Ben Chee, a junior from Marengo, Ill.; Amanda Crooks, a senior from Elmhurst, Ill.; Stephanie Dixon, a sophomore from Charlotte; Kitty Jones, a junior from Albion; and Michele MacInnes, a teaching certificate student from Albion. The exhibit will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. This year’s juror is Jim Mellick, a wood sculptor who earned his Master of Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University. The exhibition is an annual juried show and includes students from Adrian, Albion, Alma, Hillsdale and Olivet colleges and Spring Arbor University.
