Olivet College to host choral concert April 20

The Olivet College choral ensembles will present their final concert of the semester Sunday, April 20 at 3 p.m. in the Olivet Congregational Church. The concert is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Timothy Flynn, Ph.D., music program director and assistant professor of music, the college choir will perform selections from Mozart and Charles Gounod, accompanied by a professional string ensemble. Also appearing will be the chamber singers, presenting the Magnificat by Tuma and the music of Randall Thompson and Mozart. The mens ensemble will feature music by Johann Sebastian Bach, while the mens quartet will perform selections by Randall Thompson, Robert Russell Bennett, Gounod and Matteo Asola. The men will conclude with a musical pun composed by Eric Lane Barnes. Ramona Kime, Ph.D., adjunct associate professor of music, will accompany the choirs.
