Kim Abbott has been named financial account manager at Olivet College, according to an announcement by Larry Vallar, vice president for enrollment management.

She is responsible for managing the colleges student employment and work study programs, coordinating the Stafford Loan program, assisting with student accounts and providing customer service.

Abbott previously worked as an accountant at Albion College, where she maintained financial information for various funds, supported the annual external audit of the colleges financial statement and managed the student payroll. She has also served as an office and accounting manager at Kent Electric Services, and accounting assistant at Allied Chucker and Engineering Company in Jackson.

A resident of Albion, Abbott earned a bachelors degree in management and organizational development from Spring Arbor University in 1998. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in business administration at the university.
