In celebration of the opening of its Cutler Event Center, Olivet College will host a community open house from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the new facility. All activities are free and open to the public.

The event includes inflatables, refreshments for purchase and free hot dogs for children 8-and-under, door prizes, face painting and athletic activities. After the open house, guests are invited to stay and watch the Olivet College volleyball team at 6:30 p.m. as they take on Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Calvin College.

Construction of the new Cutler Event Center was completed in August. The 44,500-square-foot multipurpose facility will be used by the college and community for activities ranging from athletic events to commencement exercises, student events, guest speakers, concerts and conferences.
