Olivet, Mich. Olivet Colleges national insurance fraternity, Gamma Iota Sigma, is once again ranked in the top five chapters in the United States and Canada.

Olivets Alpha Alpha Chapter is now eligible for the Edison L. Bowers Award, which is presented to the nations top chapter. Olivet previously received this award in 1989, 1991, 1999 and 2001.

Based on a point system, the award is granted by current and former industry representatives. Under the direction of advisor Mike Hubbel, who also serves as the colleges insurance program director, Olivet qualified due to its extensive career building, chapter management, community service and fundraising activities.

Along with Olivet College, the top five chapters include Central Michigan University, Fanshawe College (Canada), Pennsylvania State University and Temple University.
