Olivet, MI - David Hayhow was elected today to serve as chair of the Olivet College Board of Trustees through October 2003. He will complete the remainder of the term begun by Richard Beyer 80, who resigned as chair last fall due to family obligations.

Hayhow, who resides in Okemos, is chairman and founder of Publicom Inc., a marketing and public relations consulting firm in East Lansing. He is a founding member and past president of Lansing 2000, the downtown civic and economic development group, and serves as director and vice chair of the Lansing Principal Shopping District.

Hayhow earned a bachelors degree in journalism in 1955 from Michigan State University. He joined the Olivet College Board of Trustees in 1995 and served as chair from 1998 to 2000.
