Olivet College to present “Broadway Bound”

The Olivet College music program will present its Broadway Bound choral concert Sunday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. in the Olivet Congregational Church. The concert is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Timothy Flynn, Ph.D., Performing Arts Department chair, music program director and assistant professor of music, the College Choir, Chamber Singers, Womens Chorale, Mens Ensemble and All the Deans Men will perform selections from Broadway shows including Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story and Sweeney Todd. In addition, the Chamber Singers will perform madrigals in French and Italian, as well as German gypsy songs from Johannes Brahms. Soloists for the concert include Kellie Carden, a junior from Lansing, and Mark Gouba, a sophomore from Novi.
