Olivet College to present “Speak Truth to Power”
Mar 17, 2009

The Olivet College Performing Arts Department will present Speak Truth to Power Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Oaks Theatre in downtown Olivet. The show, which is produced in conjunction with the Michigan State University (MSU) College of Law, is free and open to the public.

Based on the book by Kerry Kennedy, Speak Truth to Power focuses on interviews between the author and 50 human rights advocates from more than 35 countries. The production examines the courage it took for each of these individuals to confront oppression, and seeks to promote a more just and peaceful world by galvanizing public support for international human rights.

The production includes student and faculty actors from Olivet College, as well as guests from MSU. It is directed by Sam ONeill, adjunct instructor of theatre.
