Ramon and Vahs named customer service specialists at Olivet College

Maria Ramon and Ponja Vahs have been named customer service specialists at Olivet College, according to an announcement by Larry Vallar, vice president for enrollment management.

They are responsible for providing customer service to students and visitors of Olivet College, as well as assisting staff and faculty with general administrative duties.

Vahs has worked previously in the academic deans office and on the presidents staff at Olivet. For the past seven years she has been the administrative assistant for institutional advancement. Vahs earned a bachelors degree from Olivet in 2003. She has been involved in many college organizations throughout her career, including Staff Senate, advisor to the senior class, Kappa Sigma Alpha, Sigma Beta and Omicron Delta Kappa. She is also one of the two college marshals.

Ramon previously served as manager of Pastrami Joes in Marshall, where she was responsible for the daily operation of the restaurant, as well as customer service, managing staff, organizing preparation and deliveries, and working with suppliers. She has also served as office manager for Hohf Chiropractic in Marysville and administrative senior controls clerk for State Farm Insurance in Marshall.
