Olivet College to hold auditions for “Twelfth Night”
Aug 18, 2009

Olivet Colleges Performing Arts Department will hold auditions for the upcoming production of William Shakespeares Twelfth Night Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.; and Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the Margaret Upton Conservatory, room 101. Participants need only attend one session.

The play, which offers a twist to the original version by taking place in the 1970s, is directed by Louise Tuski, adjunct professor of theatre, with costumes by Gayland Spaulding of Marshall.

Participants are asked to prepare a piece of 90 seconds or less from any Shakespeare play. Those who play an instrument are encouraged to bring it to the audition and be prepared to play and/or sing a brief excerpt, as there are speaking and non-speaking roles available for musicians.

Auditions are open to all actors ages 13 and up. Those interested in working with the production crew are also asked to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring a professional rsum, if available.

The production will be held Thursday, Nov. 5 through Sunday, Nov. 8. For more information, contact Louise Tuski at (269) 749-7115 or ltuski@olivetcollege.edu.
