Olivet College’s Risk Management and Insurance Center recognized
Sep 03, 2009

The Risk Management and Insurance Center (RMIC) at Olivet College was once again recognized by Risk Management magazine for being one of the most notable undergraduate RMI programs in the nation.

Olivet was among 18 colleges and universities recognized in the magazines annual education review. The college was also featured in the September 2008 issue of Risk Management in an article on the worlds best RMI programs.

Were very proud of the program our students and risk management and insurance professionals have helped to build, said Mike Hubbel, professor of insurance and risk management and director of the RMIC. We feel that programs like ours will help the business become more responsive to the needs of our communities in the years to come.

Almost 9 percent of Olivet Colleges student body studies under the RMIC. The center, along with the Alpha Alpha chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma, the colleges professional risk management, insurance and actuarial science society, is frequently recognized by national insurance publications. Because of the level of experience RMIC students receive through classroom activities, internships and membership in Gamma Iota Sigma, nearly 100 percent of them are employed before graduation.
